ABOUT THE IPHC

The Irish Paint Horse Club [IPHC] was founded in 2004 and gained its affiliation to the APHA on March 10th 2005. It has been a difficult first couple of years but in October 2008 the members meet in a small country hotel in County Cavan. On that evening the whole club was restructured and the new committee took over.
From then on the IPHC has grown in membership, financially and most of all fair play.

Any one can join the Irish Paint Horse Club. You don’t have to have a Paint Horse. If you want to Ride Western or even just want to see what takes place at a Rodeo and have some fun with a great group of people [From all Over Ireland ] well then come along and join in. There are many disciplines’ of Western Riding, [Trail Riding] for people that just want to saddle up and get away from the hustle and stress of life even if its for only an hour or so Its brilliant take it from the horses mouth - so to speak!

There are also Halter Class’s, Trail Class’s, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Reining, Working Cow Horse, and Team Penning. On occasions we run Endurance Races. At the moment we are setting up our events/competitions to run as a league and to have top Horse and Rider year end awards as well as the prize money and awards at each individual event.
